Clean Energy, Greener Tomorrow: Tree Plantation Drive at Sapsu Khola Hydropower Project

During our recent site inspection (June 25–28, 2026), we reinforced our pledge to the environment by successfully conducting a special Tree Plantation Drive right at the project site.

Leadership Rooted in Environmental Responsibility

What made this initiative truly special was the hands-on participation of our leadership team. Board Member Mr. Subarna Shakya and PG Holder Mr. Dhan Shrestha were personally present on-site, leading by example and planting the first saplings.

Their direct involvement highlights Three Star Hydropower’s deeply ingrained culture of eco-friendly operations and corporate social responsibility.

Over 40 Saplings Planted for a Sustainable Site

As part of this initiative, nearly 40 saplings of diverse plant species were planted around the powerhouse and project grounds:

• Fruit-Bearing Trees: Fostering local flora and providing long-term ecological benefits.

• Flowering & Ornamental Plants: Beautifying the facility surroundings.

• Shade & Soil-Stabilizing Plants: Assisting in soil conservation and maintaining year-round greenery.

Continuous Upgrades & Employee Welfare

Alongside our environmental efforts, the site visit focused on enhancing technical efficiency, infrastructure safety, and team welfare. Key decisions were implemented to upgrade control room moisture management, improve equipment upkeep, and increase employee meal allowances—ensuring both our facility and our workforce remain well cared for.
